UNITEDREASON

Pricing

Real numbers, before you ask for them.

Every project is quoted properly after a call, because the honest price depends on what the thing has to do. But you should be able to tell whether we’re in the same ballpark without booking anything, so here is where it starts.

Automating one workflow

From $2,500

One job that happens over and over, done by a machine instead. The re-typing, the chasing, the Monday spreadsheet.

  • The build, on tools you already pay for
  • The exception path, so the ones it isn't sure about reach you
  • Handover, documentation and the accounts in your name

An assistant

From $2,500

Answers from your own material — your prices, your policies, your way of saying things. It hands over rather than guessing.

  • Your material gathered and structured
  • The limits set, and tested against questions it can't answer
  • Somewhere for it to hand over to

A website or small app

From $4,000

Most land between $4,000 and $12,000. Payments roughly double a simple build; so does a site that has to talk to something else.

  • Design, build and launch
  • Migration with your search rankings intact
  • No retainer — most people need me about twice a year

What the one number means

One number, in writing, before you commit

Not a range that firms up later. You see the scope and the price together, and you decide with both in front of you.

No hourly rate

You're not paying for how long it takes me. If I'm slow that week, that's my problem.

No change-request games

The scope says what it does and what it doesn't. If what I build doesn't match, I fix it, and that isn't extra.

Half up front, half on handover

Nothing in between, and nothing that renews on its own.

When the answer is no

Sometimes the arithmetic says don’t. A job that happens twice a year won’t repay a build, and a business that needs five pages and a phone number needs an afternoon with a template, not me. I’d rather tell you that in a free half hour than take four thousand dollars for something a builder does.

Founding clients

My first three projects go out at a reduced rate.

In exchange I’d like to write the work up as a case study, with your name on it. If you’d rather stay anonymous, the rate still stands. Ask on the call — or email hello@unitedreason.org and I’ll tell you whether any are left.
